The Minolta Dimage Black and White high speed copier can do 100 single sided copies in four minutes! The machine's capabilities include photo-mode (for better results with images), double sided copying, and a document feeder. Over 100,000 copies have been done on this machine and the results are still fantastic!

COLOUR PRINTING

We can print directly to the Minolta CF910 colour laser copier from our computers. Photo's on CD, images from the Internet, or original digital content created in various software programs can be e-mailed or brought in on disk to print with superior results. Send us a single file, like a business card, and we'll print 24up on 11x17" card stock. INTERNET & COMPUTER ACCESS

We have fast computers with high-speed internet access for public use . People use our services to surf the net, check their email and stocks, download very large programs (and create a CD) or just to do word processing.
We have both Microsoft Word and Wordperfect so there is a program you are used to. We can also print your internet documents or images in black & white or colour.

A majority of our work is creating business cards, flyers, cards and brochures for our customers. Depending on how complex your request is the time may vary as to how soon your project can be completed. Anything simplistic in design, number of images used, amount of type on the page(s), and fonts used in the project is usually completed within 48 hours.

Call today for a time frame or better yet, email a sketch/idea of the project so we can give you the most accurate idea of when you can pick up your project. Please feel free to call before starting a project to see what the best means of creating and transporting the file(s) are for both of us. We can also cut, bind and laminate!

SCANNING & OCR

—

We have two scanners in the store. We can scan images from existing photos, slides, 35mm negatives/postivies and other sources. Our experience allows us to easily save your images for high quality reproduction (300 or 400dpi) or lower quality for optimal file size when posting images to the internet or sending your pictures by email.

OCR stand for Optical Character Recognition. This useful when scanning a page of text that you want change or manipulate in Microsoft Word or Corel Wordperfect. The scanner scans the page as a graphic and then through the OCR software converts the 'picture' to the text the computer sees on the page. Sometimes the software does not pick up all formatting or have 100% recognition of the text- this is where the clarity of text, crispness of the printout/fax, or legibility of the font used helps the computer see the words. The OCR software does not recognize hand written materials.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Our technical troubleshooter has been working with computers for years now and can sometimes eliminate headaches and problems you may be having (even doing seemingly simple tasks!) Adding equipment such as scanners, printers, hard drives, CD writers, modems or video cards is usually a painless and relatively quick operation for us. Of course results will vary as to the age of your system and the component we are installing, but we can usually tell you if there will be a problem before installing anything.

We also can repair or replace software that makes these different peripherals or devices function properly. Call and ask if we can help you with your system, or to book an appointment. Yes we can come out to your place but it is often easier to drop your computer and mouse off at the store as a lot of our troubleshooting takes place in the evenings. We usually don't require any cords or keyboards and only need the computer (box) and mouse.

CD COPYING & CREATION

CD DUPLICATION: We can simply copy existing CDs in-store in very little time. Please call ahead to make sure we do have stock on hand to handle your order. Yes we can copy music CDs as well as data CDs. Some CD copying may infringe copyrights and therefore we restrict the right to offer this service.

CD CREATION: We can create a CD-ROM for you that can be used at all PC computers with a CD-ROM drive. Copy up to 630MB of data or 70 minutes of music per CD. If your computer has a USB port (usually computers bought in 1998 or newer) we can bring the CD writer to your place and create the CD's there.

COMPUTER SYSTEMS:
We usually have a demo model on display in the store which is for sale. Our systems we offer are always selling and therefore new systems are brought in to replace the older ones. We handle family oriented Celeron-based systems which are very good all round computers, as well as high end Pentium III-based systems for gamers, graphic editors and people demanding more from their computers. Call today or drop in to the store to see what we have to offer. Yes we build custom systems!

COMPUTER PARTS:
We do not stock a lot of parts in the store. We order parts from various outlets and can have most parts within 48- if not 72 hours. From internet sources, authorized dealers, and online stores we can find you the best price and even install it for you in our store!

PHOTO RETOUCHING

With our scanner we can digitize your photos and images and remove unwanted marks such as scratches, stains, or minor tears. We can often improve brightness and contrast in your older black and white photos, or enhance colours in your colour images. Before printing your final image we can reduce, enlarge or crop your picture to specific dimensions that fit your needs.

Yes we can scan from slides, 35mm negatives and postives, and up to 11 x 17" photographs. In special instances we can scan images larger than 11 x 17".

From very simple one page projects to multiple pages and multiple images we can usually accomplish what you are looking for. There are many considerations when designing a web page such as:

From very small address labels to full page 8.5 x 11" stickers we probably have what you are looking for. We stock various sizes as well as some clear stickers.

We can also print a reverse image on a T-Shirt transfer which is then ironed on to a shirt for a custom look. Usually white T-Shirts work best for this so pictures and text come out the clearist. We can print a T-Shirt transfer from an existing photo, slide or negative you might have. Yes we can crop, resize or touch-up any images before printing the transfer.

LAMINATING & BINDING

We have custom laminating pouches for business cards, letter and tabloid sized documents. We can always laminate your documents so long as they are under 11 x 17" in dimension. This is really the perfect way to protect important documents, kids drawings/colourings you wish to preserve, or flyers or advertisements you will be posting in a moist evironment.

We do have a Cerlox binder and various cover stock including transparent cover stock. The Cerlox binding method is very fast and economical.
